Firefox Add-On Review: Greasemonkey

I can't get over the power of this add-on. Greasemonkey is a tool that allows you to customize the way a webpage displays using small efficient snippets of JavaScript.

My awareness and use of JavaScript as a tool has been growing immensely over the last 2 years and is a big part of my development now. This tool gives you the ability to really turn Firefox into your personal platform. There are currently hundreds of scripts for a wide variety of uses available at http://userscripts.org.

Mark Pilgrim's provides a Greasemonkey guide at diveintogreasemonkey.org will show you how to write your own scripts. There is even a book now at Amazon.

Stay tuned for more on the GreaseMonkey platform as I learn more about it.
